Microsoft is developing a new software packet, which can be used as an alternative for BitTorrent.  This technology is called Avalanche and can be used to share big files, like movies and software, through the Internet.  Microsoft announced that it’s not designed for sharing illegal files.  Following the specifications, the speed will be 20 percent faster than the current peer-to-peer networks.  No release date is known.
